I spied upon the stars tonight and thought I saw your face

A hundred million points of light without one out of place

I felt you shining down on me with loving in your heart

And melted to eternity… so sad we're far apart

Dear Diana… I miss you tonight

You found me lost in darkness and brought me to your light

Sweet Diana… smile on my life

As long as you're with me this world will be all right

This song's my farewell letter to someone never met

With all my heart I send it to give what's meant to get

Somewhere across the distance however far away

To hold the hope it reaches with only love to say

Dear Diana… I miss you tonight

You found me lost in darkness and brought me to your light

Sweet Diana… smile on my life

As long as you're with me this world will be all right

I trembled as you touched me to rise and be your friend

As love and life live on and on in time we'll find no end

A pure and precious someone gone to a special place

Forever be my loved one… I'll always need your faith

Dear Diana… I miss you tonight

You found me lost in darkness and brought me to your light

Sweet Diana… smile on my life

As long as you're with me this world will be all right

As love and life live on and on I know we'll be all right
